Becoming Buds with Budtanicals

Cannabis capsules are quickly becoming a viable alternative for people looking to get into dosing edible cannabis as a daily medicine to help improve their health.

There are many options to choose from with how big the demand is growing. Some people prefer low doses of THC with no CBD, while others may prefer high CBD with little to no THC, and everything in between.

With all these choices, how can you possibly decide what’s right for you?

To make it easier, we’ve broken our selection of Budtanicals capsules into three major categories.

Let’s run through each one, and what they might be best for based on individual needs.

Note: For optimal absorption, always consume on a full stomach following a high-fat meal as cannabinoids like THC and CBD are fat-soluble.

Benefits of THC Dominant Capsules

Before we begin, here is a quick lesson on edible THC. As we know, THC, or in this case delta-9 THC, is the psychoactive component in activated cannabis. That’s what gives cannabis the property of being able to get us high. What is less known about THC is that when it is metabolized, it undergoes a transformation in the liver into a compound known as 11-Hydroxy-THC.

This form of THC is more of a psychedelic like LSD than a psychoactive like its precursor delta-9-THC. That is why when edibles are consumed, people report a much different high that lasts longer than smoking and tends to be more intense.

When taking a capsule, bear this in mind about THC.

To know exactly how much THC you need starts by knowing what outcome you’re looking for.

For medical uses, lower doses tend to be the most effective for the majority of people. A low dose doesn’t interfere with daily tasks, and it offers the same benefits as mood stabilization, pain relief, reduction in nausea, reductions in inflammation, and appetite stimulation. A range from our 5mg capsules to 25mg capsules is the best for this purpose, with 25mg being the upper limit for most people looking for medical relief while still being relatively unimpaired.

For more advanced medical uses with severe cases of pain or for recreational use, we recommend 50mg to 200mg capsules as the psychoactive and pain-relieving properties are much stronger at these doses.

Benefits of CBD Dominant Capsules

Unlike THC, CBD is non-psychoactive and can be used medically by nearly anyone who could benefit from its systemic calming properties. CBD works by modulating the body’s own internal signalling pathways, keeping receptors across the nervous system functioning more effectively.

CBD capsules are rapidly becoming an industry favourite for medical patients suffering from chronic conditions throughout the brain and body. Thanks to the anti-inflammatory properties CBD has, it can be used for its known effects as an anti-convulsive, anti-depressive, antipsychotic, antioxidant, and non-drowsy sleep-aid.

Unlike THC, CBD has no known upper limit dose that could impair function, but you should still consult a physician if planning on exceeding the dosages we have available in our stand-alone CBD capsules.

Budtanicals CBD isolate extracts come in either 10mg, or 30mg doses.

Benefits of Balanced and Blended CBD/THC Capsules

Now that we’ve seen an overview of how each type of capsule can help as an isolate, how would they do if both CBD and THC were combined?

Mainly what can be expected is you’ll be able to take more THC and get more medical benefits from a higher dose because the CBD acts as a cannabinoid receptor modulator, reducing the psychoactive properties of the THC without affecting its medical properties.

When used together, CBD and THC combine their medical properties, making them much more effective for therapeutic use in adults.Children can safely use CBD products, but THC should not be used until the brain has fully matured.

Budtanicals has a range of ratios available for various needs and preferences, and each has a ratio either equal to or dominant in CBD.

Some ratios available include a 1:4 THC:CBD, a 1:20 THC:CBD, and a 1:1 THC:CBD.

Whether you prefer THC, CBD, or both, Budtanicals has more than enough options to choose from to help with overall health. As always, it is recommended that a healthcare professional be consulted before taking any form of supplement in order to make sure you get the right ones for your needs.
